Transfer & International Applicants

“Truth knows no borders — nor does calling.”

Overview

Atlas University welcomes scholars from every nation, background, and educational system.
Our admissions framework recognizes that learning is not confined to institutions, and that wisdom may emerge through study, ministry, or practice far outside traditional academia.

Whether you are transferring from another university, continuing a lifelong pursuit of mastery, or beginning your first formal education as an adult, your application will be considered on the same foundation:
calling, capacity, and covenant.

Atlas operates as a remote, global university, enabling students to study from anywhere while belonging to a unified House and Tribe system.
Residencies in Florida, Cincinnati, Balaysia, Dublin, and Singapore provide in-person options for immersive experience, but all core programs remain fully accessible online.

I. Transfer Applicants

General Policy

Atlas accepts transfer students from accredited, unaccredited, and religious institutions, provided that prior study aligns with the Atlas Covenant Curriculum and demonstrates mastery of thought, expression, and formation.

We do not recognize credit hours as the measure of knowledge.
Instead, transfer eligibility is evaluated through direct demonstration: written work, research, creative output, or professional application.

Students may be placed in higher levels or accelerated tracks if their existing portfolio shows evidence of deep understanding, publication, or field practice.
Every transfer is individually assessed; there is no automatic equivalency.

Transfer Application Process

  1. Application Submission
Complete the standard Atlas application form ($49 fee).

  2. Academic Portfolio
    Submit:

    • Official or unofficial transcripts (if applicable)

    • 2–3 samples of written, artistic, or scientific work

    • Statement (1,000 words): “What has your education revealed—and what has it concealed?”

  3. Interview and Evaluation
A virtual interview with the Department Chair or Council Assessor.
Applicants should be prepared to discuss their previous study and demonstrate conceptual command of key ideas.

  4. Placement Decision
    The Council determines placement:

    • Direct transfer (equivalency recognized)

    • Advanced standing (entry into higher year or level)

    • Canonical integration (prior work published under Atlas oversight)

  5. House & Tribe Assignment
Upon acceptance, students are integrated into the global House system for mentorship and fellowship.

Note: Atlas may convert published work, creative production, or ministerial service into degree equivalency upon Council approval.
